Kathleen Bennett Marold, Owner and President, began Floor 13 Textiles in 2012. Kathleen had spent many years working on large upscale hotel design projects with a number of major design firms – helping to create textiles and interior products suitable to the needs of the hotel industry and their discerning customers. After spending over 20 years in the high-end home furnishings industry (notably with Donghia, Brunschwig & Fils and Zimmer + Rohde), she noticed a void in the marketplace that she thought was worth filling. Floor 13 Textiles’ concept is to exercise a unique positioning between design firm clients and weaving sources to create a collection suitable for these contract designers’ particular needs. Floor 13 Textiles acts as a sourcing company, both providing and finding solutions for interiors with specific needs.
